Babylost Mothers Day

Today is May 1st, International Babylost Mothers Day.

Although most of society doesn't recognize it or agree, I'm a Mother. I have two children up in heaven. I was never able to meet them to kiss their cheeks but I loved them as an Mother would and I would have given anything to save them had I been able to. Though I may not be recognized as a Mother I'm a Mother in my heart, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them and wish so badly to be able to have them in my arms.
Those Mothers out there that have lost a child/children you have my love, especially those Mothers who have only lost their children. You're a Mother, don't forget that or let anybody tell you different. Just because we are not able to hold our children in our arms does not mean we're not Mothers. One day I will see my babies and be able to hold them and never let go.

  1. Hi E. Lane! I found your blog on the Weekend Blog Hop and I'm SO glad that I did. We lost our first baby last June and with the one year right around the corner, I've been more than emotional. What a blessing to have found you and read this post. I'm a new follower. I will be keeping your family in my prayers.

  2. I have awarded you the versatile blogger award. Stop by my blog to pick it up.

I saw you won it once after I had chosen you, but you deserve it twice.

  3. I wasn't aware that today had a somber meaning as well. You are in my prayers. I had a miscarriage right before I got pregnant with this one. I have had at least two prior miscarriages before having my first son and you are still a mom even when you lose a baby b/c you still feel all that love for that child.

  8. I had no idea this day existed! Thanks for sharing this, My Husband and I also lost a baby very early in our pregnancy in 2008, it was Heart breaking. you are absolutley a mother, My husband and I were Just talking how we will someday get to meet that little one in heaven! Have a beautiful rest of your week!

  9. I had no idea there was such a day!
A Mother suffering a loss or losses doesn't make her any less of a mother.. It may even make her more of a Mother than I am with 3 kids. You are being more of a mother to the babies you had such little time with by dealing with the pain and embracing what little time you had 'with' them and still making that effort to give another one of your future babies a chance to be here with you...That takes a strong women and an extremely loving mother! I wish you and all other mothers living with the pain of a loss/es of their child/ren a Be-Lated Happy Mothers Day and send out love to your sweet ^Angels^!
